Description | The Project includes the following Work : Directional drill installation of approximately 4 , 210 linear feet of 8 - inch DR11 HDPE water main . The work shall include , but not be limited to , the installation of the water main and associated fittings , hydrant and valve installation , water service replacement , connections to the existing water system , and the hydrostatic testing and disinfection of the water main . Abandonment - in - place of approximately 3 , 800 linear feet of existing water main piping and the removal of existing hydrants , valves , and services along the decommissioned water main . Asphalt removal to facilitate installation of the proposed water main and appurtenances . Site restoration including topsoil , seeding , asphalt pavement , and driveway repairs .
