The Department of Veterans Affairs Northern Arizona VA Healthcare System (NAVAHCS) had a service requirement for a secure and reliable point-to-point communication circuit with the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZ DPS) to access the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS). This connectivity is mission-critical for law enforcement operations and must preserve CJIS security and integrity. The circuit is mandated by AZ DPS to be delivered via metro ethernet, operated in conjunction with onsite equipment as specified, and the service provider must coordinate access consistent with FBI CJIS security requirements. The expected performance period was a base year with four option years thereafter. Award was based upon a comparative evaluation of quotes in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of FAR 13.
