The City of Gautier is accepting sealed Request for Proposal ( RFP ) packages from experienced and qualified Disaster Response Services and Supply firms for a predisaster / pre - storm contract in support of the City ’ s disaster response and recovery operations . This proposed pre - event contract will establish no immediate or annual cost to the City for response services and supplies . In the event of a disaster and as directed by the City , the proposed disaster response services and supplies contract will be activated through a City task order / request in order to eliminate immediate threats to public health and safety . The objective of this RFP is to identify and contract through an open advertised RFP process for a pre - event contract for Disaster Response Services and Supplies . The contract does not bind the City to activate any or all of the terms of the contract and such activation is at the sole discretion of the City of Gautier . Respondents shall appoint a single Point of Contact ( SPOC ) for this Project that shall be responsible for managing staff , working with the City , the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency ( MEMA ), Mississippi Department of Transportation ( MDOT ), the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality ( MDEQ ), the Mississippi Department of Health ( MSDH ), the Mississippi Board of Animal Health ( MBAH ), and FEMA as requested . The RFP response should be clear on how the Respondent will assist the City through its emergency response services , supplies , equipment , and logistics capabilities in the event of a disaster .
