Seasonal Maintenance Schedule 1 . Spring Requirements i . Spring Cleanup : Removal of all winter debris ( leaves , sticks , weeds , and light trash ) around Facilities by the first day back from April / spring break / recess , or earlier if directed by the District ’ s Director of Facilities ( weather permitting ) ii . Bark Mulching & Edging : All Facilities . Mulch provided by Torrington Public Schools ( TPS ), to be completed by May 15th . 2 . Ongoing Maintenance ( Growing Season ) i . Weekly Mowing & Trimming : Required at all Facilities . ii . Constraint : Mowing at each school Facility must be performed after school hours , not to interfere with sports and other activities . iii . General Cleanup : Removal of leaves , sticks , weeds , and trash ( subject to change with the approval of the Board Director of Facilities ). iv . Sidewalk & Driveway Trimming : Performed biweekly . This includes trimming low branches on ornamental trees and bushes / shrubs located in lawn , sidewalk areas , islands , and any other areas of each Facility ’ s grounds . v . Fence / Tree Line Maintenance : Weeding and maintenance performed biweekly .
