The Platte County R - 3 School District , PCR - 3 , wishes to obtain bids for exterior painting of the District Education Center ( DEC ). Scope of Work The District wishes to obtain bids for the following work : ● The District will remove the current awning and lettering that is attached to the DEC . ● Prep for exterior paint of the District Education Center ○ Prep includes powerwashing of the area to be painted ○ Patching of cracks and holes in the areas to be painted ● Existing Previously coated concrete panels ○ Spot prime if needed : LX02W0050 - LXN C & M Primer ○ 2 coats : LX13W0051 - LXN Self - Clean Flat ● Existing Previously Coated CMU ○ Spot prime if needed : LX02W0050 - LXN C & M Primer ○ 2 coats : LX13W0051 - LXN Self - Clean Flat ● Hollow Metal Doors / Frames ○ Spot prime if needed : B50WZ0001 - Kem Kromik Universal Metal Primer ○ 2 coats : B53W06151 - PI WB ALKYD Urethane Semi - Gloss ● Metal Structure ( Over Main Entry Door ) ○ Spot prime if needed : B50WZ0001 - Kem Kromik Universal Metal Primer ○ 2 coats : B65W00311 - Hi - Solids Polyurethane Gloss NOTES : ● Total square footage is approximately 12 , 700 SF ( This is an approximate number , but want all bidders to use this square footage for bidding purposes ) ● Final paint colors will be decided once the bid is awarded . ● All existing brick will not be painted or stained ● We will be using Sherwin Williams paint . Please reference the product submittal that is included . ● New signage will be installed after completion of exterior painting .
