Description | UG Planning + Urban Design is soliciting qualifications to create Downtown Historic Design Guidelines . The associated project area is provided in ATTACHMENT 1 . The goal of the proposal is to create and adopt historic design guidelines for Downtown KCK , incorporating previous longrange plans ( see RELEVANT DOCUMENTS ) associated with the area and fitting into the broader economic development strategies for the eastern portion of Wyandotte County . The historic design guidelines should be developed to incorporate future land use and zoning code requirements , the newly launched Main Street Program , and existing and desired neighborhood character . The historic design guidelines should consider the following principles : • Provide an accessible , multi - modal transportation friendly area • Incorporate the principles of Community for All Ages and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design • Follow the goals and lenses of the PlanKCK Citywide Comprehensive Plan , Citywide Historic Preservation Plan , and Economic Development Strategic Plan |
