Description | The District is initiating an implementation study to assess the feasibility , logistics , and potential impacts of incorporating a drone show into the annual “ Big Bay Boom ” Fourth of July 2027 fireworks celebration , and the consideration of the expansion of the event into the South Bay . This Request for Information ( RFI ) shall address Technical Requirements and Implementation Roadmap , which focuses on identifying the technical and logistical feasibility of producing a large - scale drone - based or hybrid drone / fireworks show on or around District Tidelands with emphasis on infrastructure needs , operational planning and cost .
