Description | The County of San Diego is seeking to collaborate with an organization that has experience overseeing drowning prevention programs to administer $ 250 , 000 in grant funds to licensed swim programs in the San Diego County , including all municipalities , to teach underserved children basic drowning prevention skills and swimming lessons to underserved children according to the California Healthy Places Index Map , specifically communities falling in the fourth quartile ( Health Equity Quartile .) in San Diego County . Additionally , the partner organization will be responsible for assisting with a drowning prevention outreach campaign in collaboration with First 5 San Diego to encourage water safety by educating and informing parents on drowning prevention protocols . |
