Description | The District of Columbia , Office of Contracting and Procurement , on behalf of the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services ( DYRS ) is seeking a contractor to deliver a specialized construction / carpentry training program . The classes will be offered at New Beginnings Youth Development Center ( NB ) at 8400 River Road Laurel , MD 20724 . The training program for the youth at New Beginnings Youth Development Center ( NB ) will use classroom and hands - on education providing construction / carpentry training . The contractor must deliver industry certified curriculum for one specialized trade within the large construction sector ( i . e . HVAC , Carpentry , Painting , Masonry , Plumbing , Electrical , etc .). The contractor must provide practical hands - on experiential learning activities and deliver career exploration plans that would allow youth to learn about career pathways that become available upon receiving OSHA - 30 credentials . The contractor shall include a plan for coordinating OSHA - 30 credential exam taking for the youth . |
