The National Research Council Canada ( NRC ) requires a fully automated computer controlled elemental analyzer capable of simultaneously and quantitatively determining elements Carbon ( C ), Hydrogen ( H ), Nitrogen ( N ), Oxygen ( O ) and Sulfur ( S ) in wide analysis of inorganic substances in the parts per million range ( ppm ).
