Description | Routine Inspection and Maintenance 1 ) The Contractor must ensure that each elevator and vertical lift device is regularly inspected , lubricated , and adjusted properly to maintain the equipment in a proper and safe operating condition . Hydraulic elevators shall receive quarterly preventive maintenance visits with a minimum of one ( 1 ) hour allocated per visit . Traction elevators shall receive bi - monthly preventive maintenance visits with a minimum of one ( 1 ) hour allocated per visit . At minimum , each elevator or vertical lift device must be inspected and lubricated at least one time per month by the Contractor . 2 ) The Contractor must replace all faulty signal lamps found during the regular inspections . The signal lamps shall include those lamps in the elevator car , those lamps at the elevator landings , and those lamps in the elevator machine room . |
