Elevator Modernization - Justice Center and Fire Station # 4

There are currently two ( 2 ) elevators in need of modernization and upgrades at the listed sites . The Justice Center Elevator is a 2 stop hydraulic unit with front and rear opening doors . It was originally installed in 1967 and had a new double bottom jack installed in 2008 . This elevator requires full modernization of applicable equipment to bring it up to the current code in effect . Fire Station # 4 Elevator was installed in 2014 and is a limited use , 2 stop hydraulic unit . It requires upgrades to include , but not limited to , a non - proprietary main controller , hydraulic motor / pump , car door operator and fixtures . The modernization proposed will include using all existing landings and openings . The modernization proposed will include retaining load capacities , travel speeds , removal of existing controls and replacing with new / current non - proprietary technology solid state microprocessor controls . All work will be done during normal business hours and shall conform to all current code requirements and as per the State of Missouri requirements . The contractor is responsible for ALL required permits and state inspections including a 5 year load test . Some parts of existing system will be reused and are listed as such in the General Specifications portion of this document . These items will be serviced or modified as required to complete the work .. Warranty : Bid pricing on this project shall include a five year ( 60 month ) full service agreement covering all service related needs and components . This will also include monthly on - site service visits and contact with owner . Service after 5 years : Contractor to include a yearly price for the continuation of a full service maintenance agreement after 5 years . Service Requirements Contractor will provide a full comprehensive outline of their proposed maintenance service for review by city staff .
