In general , the work consists of : The phased modification of three ( 3 ) hydraulic passenger elevators distributed across two ( 2 ) buildings on the UW - Platteville campus . Modification scope includes new controls , hydraulic pumping units , door operators and fixtures . The three ( 3 ) elevators and their primary scopes are further identified as follows : ( Pioneer ) Student Center - Duplex Phase 1 / Elev 1 - ( building elevator # 2 ) a 2 stop hydraulic elevator / front openings only / 3 , 500lbs / 100fpm . o Phase 2 / Elev 2 - ( building elevator # 1 ) a 3 stop hydraulic elevator / 2 front openings , 3 rear openings / 3 , 500lbs / 100fpm . o Scope includes but is not limited to : . New microprocessor controls , new door operator equipment , new hydraulic pumping unit , new signal fixtures and new LED cab lighting . Painting of elevator pit floor and elevator machine room floor . Machine room and pit lighting . Additional fire alarm detection devices to an existing system . o Phase 3 / Elev 3 - ( building elevator # 2 ) a 3 stop hydraulic elevator / front openings only / 3 , 500lbs / 150fpm . . . . .
