2 . 3 . Required Scope of Work The preliminary Scope of Work involved for this project is outlined in the Tasks below . Additional tasks and work elements may be added or deleted during contract negotiations . The consultant may recommend the addition / removal of tasks , or modification of tasks , in describing their understanding and approach for the project . 2 . 4 . Required Tasks for the Project The required tasks associated with this RFP are as follows ( but not limited to ): Task 1 . Vegetation Restoration and Irrigation Improvements The Basin Creek Park picnic area has experienced long - term decline due to aging vegetation , recent dam improvements , and fuel reduction efforts . Many existing cottonwood trees exhibit internal decay and structural instability , posing safety risks to park users . Project objectives include : • Removal of hazardous trees to address public safety concerns • Replacement planting of native and appropriate tree and shrub species , including enhancement of the existing edible forest • Installation of a new irrigation system to support vegetation establishment and long - term sustainability
