Engineering and Construction Administration Consultant Services for Carson Pegasus Provincial Park - Boat House Demolition and Seawall Refurbishment

As part of ongoing capital renewal work , Alberta Forestry and Parks ( AFP ) is undertaking a project to refurbish the seawall and demolish the existing boat house along McLeod Lake at Carson Pegasus Provincial Park , located approximately 30km north of Whitecourt . The seawall and boat house at Carson Pegasus Provincial Park are nearing their ends of life . The boat house foundation has failed and the structure has been barricaded off for years . It is to be demolished as it is deemed a safety concern and unnecessary for operations . The seawall is approximately 250 m long and is used for trail connectivity , lakefront water access and fishing as McLeod Lake is a stocked fishery . The lake seawall was last rehabilitated in 2004 with Alkaline Copper Quaternary ( ACQ ) treated timber , pile caps and geotextile . After 18 years , the seawall is rotting and needs to be replaced with new , environmental friendly and durable material . The purpose of this RFP is to invite Proposals from suitably qualified Proponents who demonstrate sufficient experience and qualification to complete detailed design , secure approvals , prepare tender documents and perform project management and construction monitoring services .
