Environmental Consulting Services for the Highways Maui District MS4 Program

The consultant ’ s scope of work for this project may include providing environmental engineering , consulting services , and other labor , materials and equipment needed to assist HDOT - Highways to be fully compliant with all the terms of their Small MS4 NPDES General Permit and Hawaii Administrative Rules ( HAR ) 11 - 54 , HAR 11 - 55 , HAR 11 - 55 Appendix A , HAR 11 - 55 Appendix K , and all related applicable rules and regulations . Also , provide overall environmental compliance and engineering support to HDOT Highways . MS4 and other environmental compliance requirements are applicable throughout Maui County . These may include , but not be limited to , the following : 1 ) Program Management - Furnish the personnel necessary for the administration of the HDOT Highways ’ SWMP and the terms and conditions of the NPDES MS4 General Permit - Have familiarity and experience with HDOT Highways ’ environmental compliance issues and procedures - Have familiarity with HDOT Highways ’ engineering design standards and guidelines - Prepare , update , and submit various submittals , manuals , plans , and reports - Prepare and submit applicable NPDES MS4 General Permit application - Revise Stormwater Management Plan and coordinate and respond to public comment and public hearing - Monitor and measure the effectiveness of the best management practices ( BMPs ) employed by HDOT Highways ’ stormwater program - Perform any and all other work necessary to ensure compliance with and continuous improvement upon HDOT Highways ’ NPDES requirements and other environmental compliance and engineering design matters ...
