Description | 1 . Remove and dispose of approx . 300 lineal feet of existing waterline including all support brackets and mounting . 2 . In area A - Excavate approx . 150 lineal feet 18 ” deep trench behind the granite bulkhead seawall and install 2 ” HDPE SDR35 waterline bedded in clean sand . At the head of each gangway ( 5 ), install a vertical tee and 1 ” HDPE riser with a ball valve hose spigot at supported on 6 foot galvanized sign - post 2 # per foot U channel driven such that spigot is 2 feet above grade . Secure pipe to post with ( 3 ) 316 Stainless steel hose clamps . 3 . In area B – Bulkhead transitions to steel sheet pile , install approx . 80 lineal feet of 2 ” HDPE SDR35 waterline in 12 ” deep trench to stay above the sheet - pile tieback rods . At the head of each gangway ( 3 ), install a vertical tee and 1 ” HDPE riser with a ball valve hose spigot at supported on 6 foot galvanized sign - post 2 # per foot U channel driven such that spigot is 2 feet above grade . Secure pipe to post with ( 3 ) 316 Stainless steel hose clamps . |
