The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – New England District is issuing a Presolicitation Notice for Flooring Replacement, Hop Brook Lake, Middlebury, CT. QUESTIONS REGARDING THE PROCUREMENT WILL NOT BE ANSWERED DURING THE PRESOLICITATION PHASE. SUBMIT QUESTIONS TO THE CONTRACT SPECIALIST AFTER THE SOLICITATION AND ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN POSTED. THE WORK CONSISTS OF: Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment and labor to remove approximately 1,146sqft (square feet) of existing carpet and install approximately 1,266 sqft (square feet) of 100% waterproof Greenguard Gold or FloorScore Certified Rigid Core Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring to replace the carpet and finish approximately 120 sqft of stairs at the Hop Brook Lake Office. Please note, the tile has been tested for asbestos and approximately 423sqft of tile contains asbestos and will need to be removed and remediated accordingly. The Contractor shall dispose of all asbestos containing material (ACM) in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local rules and regulations and the work shall be completed by a State of CT certified asbestos removal company. The solicitation requirements and contract documents, to include instructions for submission, and the response date will be available on or about July 31, 2026. Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted. The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access the Contract Opportunities website (www.SAM.gov). This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 238330 with a Small Business Size Standard of $19 Million. ALL VENDORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. ANY VENDOR THAT DOES NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE SAM.GOV REGISTRATION WILL BE REJECTED AS NON RESPONSIVE.
