The work is a single prime lump sum bid contract highlighted by the following : 1 . Work in and around known and delineated wetlands , with work limits and related shown on the plans ; all permitting work related to the wetlands are being obtained by the Owner . 2 . Site erosion control and removal of the existing 73 ’ x8 ’ precast concrete topped double tee pedestrian bridge and partial demolition of reinforced concrete abutments . 3 . Delegated design , fabrication , and delivery of a prefabricated weathering steel half - through bowstring style pedestrian bridge with a 110 ’ span and a 10 ’ wide concrete deck designed to AASHTO pedestrian bridge requirements ; designed , fabricated , and delivered in accordance with specification 34 8100 . 4 . Helical round shaft pile supported reinforced concrete abutments with delegated design of the helical piles in accordance with project specification 31 6615 . 5 . Field installation of the bridge , and bridge deck and termination plates at each end . 6 . Demolition and reconstruction of site sidewalks , site decorative pavers , and grass surfaces . 7 . Removal and relocation of existing pedestrian lights , removal and reuse of existing pedestrian lighting heads and luminaries that are field installed to the top chord of the bridge , provision of new pedestrian lights , and related underground electrical power circuits . 8 . An Alternate Bid to provide decorative LED lights to the top chord and mid - rail portion of each side of the bridge , including metal fabrication field - attached to the prefabricated bridge that house the LED lights , ( 2 ) exterior pad - mounted cabinets to house the LED light control modules , power and control underground circuits that connect to the existing Hopper Danley Spiritual Center , and related electrical work
