The Dalton Public School System invites you to submit a proposal for WAN and Internet Access for Dalton Public Schools ( see specifications ) in Dalton , Georgia . Technical Specifications DETAILED REQUIREMENTS THERE IS NO ESTIMATED BUDGET FOR THIS PROJECT . Wide Area Network • The winning bid will provide WAN networking for all locations with varying levels of bandwidth all ocation . • Proposal must include costs for all necessary equipment to connect all sites . • Solution must provide Fiber Optic WAN for all locations and the necessary hardware to terminate at each location . • Any network topology can be proposed and may be considered as long as it is in the best interest of Dalton Public Schools • The winning bidder must provide uptime of 99 . 92 % or greater . • Solution must provide routine maintenance of all equipment provided . • Solution must provide routing capability , support , and equipment for current and future routing protocols . • Solution must provide VLAN routing , configuration , and support on equipment . • Solutions must provide multicast configuration and support on equipment . • Solution must provide SNMP community credentials on their equipment for DPS read only capabilities . • Solution should provide 24 hours 7 days a week technical support with priority contact for critical res ponse . • Solution must provide verifiable evidence for expected throughput of rated bandwidth allocation . • Solution should bid a secondary 1 Gb / s , 2Gb / s , 5Gb / s and 10 GB / s dedicated point to point circuit from City park to Dalton Middle School . ( these must be priced as separate line items ) • Solution must provide documentation of certified bandwidth to Dalton Public Schools . • Winning bidder will provide parts replacement or provide parts on hand for immediate repair of critical equipment within 4 hours or less . • Only fiber solutions will be considered for this bid . • Solutions should provide pricing for minimum ( current ), medium , and high bandwidth allocations for the “ WAN Connections ” locations listed in the table below . All options must be provided to meet minimum specifications .
