Description

Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Â The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, intends to award a Base plus 4 firm fixed price sole-source contract to Daily Planet for Veteran Housing Support to be performed within 20 minutes commuting distance or if outside the 20 minutes commuting distance must be able to provide transportation to the Richmond Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) Richmond, Virginia. The NAICS code for this procurement is 624229 Other Community Housing Service with a size standard of $19.0 M. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no Solicitation will be issued. The justification for this noncompetitive solicitation is due to Daily Planet being able to provide temporary housing and transitional services to Veterans with severe mental illness. Market research has determined that this service is only available from a single source within the Richmond VAMC 20-minute commuting area. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date of 1 April 2026 to Daily Planet Inc. 517 W Grace Street Richmond VA, 23220. However, interested parties may identify their skill and ability by sending capability statements about this requirement to the contracting Officer within three (3) calendar days of this publication by contacting Gordon Burns via e-mail gordon.burns@va.gov. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a) or woman owned business and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. Respondents who submit proprietary data shall clearly mark the data with appropriate markings. The Government will not pay for any information submitted because of this synopsis. This synopsis shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services.
