Description | The National Museum of Australia (NMA) is a Commonwealth corporate entity established under the National Museum of Australia Act 1980 (Cth). It currently occupies a building on Acton Peninsula and leases a number of premises in Mitchell, ACT for the storage of collection items. The NMA is responsible for developing and preserving a national collection that deepens public understanding of Australia’s history and culture. To achieve this, the NMA depends on a number of core operational functions, with appropriate and secure storage premises forming a critical part of this foundation. The NMA is seeking expressions of interest from interested parties willing to enter into a long-term lease for the provision of a suitable storage premises for the storage of collection items. The storage premises will be located in the industrial area of Mitchell, ACT. |
