Gazebos Repair and Replacement

The contractor shall provide labor , materials , and equipment necessary to repair , replace , remove and dispose of damaged decking , beams , fascia , and cedar shake roofing components on two ( 2 ) gazebos located along Gretna Road between Town and Country Drive and Deer Valley Drive . See attached Maps for locations . 3 . Decking Replacement : 3 . 1 . The contractor must remove the existing roofing system on both gazebos , inspect the underlying structural supports for additional damage , and replace all . 3 . 2 . All shall be replaced with prime treated , 2 ” x 6 ” # 2 tongue and grove decking . The contractor shall ensure proper spacing , fastening , and ventilation where applicable . 4 . Structural Beam Repairs : 4 . 1 . The contractor must identify and remove all beams discovered with damage . 4 . 2 . The contractor shall provide and install replacement beams of matching size , grade , and species ( or engineer - approved equivalent ). 4 . 3 . Beams must be secured using appropriate connectors , fasteners , and supports . 4 . 4 . The contractor must ensure structural integrity and compliance with local building codes . 4 . 5 . Payment will be figured through use of equations for Board Feet as shown Formula ( Length in Feet ): Board Feet ( BF ) = Thickness ( in ) x Width ( in ) x Length ( ft ) 12 Formula ( All units in Inches ): Board Feet ( BF ) = Thickness ( in ) x Width ( in ) x Length ( in ) 144 5 . Fascia Repair / Replacement : 5 . 1 . The contractor shall remove all fascia boards . The new fascia boards must be replaced with either material to match existing or as otherwise specified and must maintain proper alignment with roof edge
