The statutory authority permitting acquisition of this requirement by other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 1901 as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.102(a), sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items. Getinge USA Sales, LLC is the only source capable of satisfying the required service to include preventive maintenance and quarterly inspections for the Getinge Cart Washer.
