Kansas Tourism with Kansas Department of Commerce (“ Tourism ”) is seeking competitive proposals from qualified vendors to provide global forecasting and quantitative analysis . The term of this contract will be from Date of Award , through April 30 , 2031 . Actual contract start date shall not begin until contract is fully executed , signed and dated by the Director of Purchases . Visitors represent an integral part of the Kansas economy . Visitor spending supports businesses , generated tax and sustains diverse employment across the state . By monitoring the visitor economy , informed decisions can be made regarding the funding and prioritization of the sector ’ s development , success and future needs . We require research that will measure the volume of visitors to the state of Kansas and measure their economic impacts in detail . The analysis shall be delivered in a fully detailed report that includes the volume and economics value of visitors to Kansas . The report shall describe the significance of the visitor economy , the value of jobs , income , and taxes generated by visitors , and the importance of the travel sector compared to other economic sectors . We will also offer our industry partners the opportunity to buy in to receive an additional report that focuses directly on their city or county . Every other year , there shall be a second report broken down to the regional and county - level impacts .
