The 2026 DIRP # 1 Water Replacement Capital Improvement Project includes work within the Green Mountain Water and Sanitation District , located withinJefferson County , Colorado . The work generally consists of : Replacement of approximately 3 , 800 feet of existing 12 - inch CI waterline in S . Union Blvd using trenchless pipe - bursting methods between intersections . A traditional parallel replacement method for the same 3800 feet will be an alternative as Bid Schedule B . Also , there will be approximately 3 , 950 feet of existing waterline parallel replacement in S . Union Blvd , S . Simms St . and S . Taft St . with 12 ‑ inch DI . All above replacements will involve side street connection of 8 , 6 , 4 ‑ inch pipe replacement with DI and PVC pipe . The scope also includes 45 water service reconnections . Surface restoration will consist of trench asphalt patching , roto ‑ milling , asphalt overlay , and miscellaneous concrete repairs .
