Grease Trap Service

a . The CONTRACTOR will service all grease traps at each location for the number of times a year listed for traps indicated in Attachment B , or as needed . b . The CONTRACTOR shall not be allowed to service , pump , or open any cover of any grease trap at any facility during meal service . The CONTRACTOR shall verify meal service times with the Institutional Food Service Manager ( IFSM ) at each facility . c . The CONTRACTOR shall respond to requests for emergency / trouble calls for the facilities and will render such services within 4 ( four ) hours of receiving notification during normal work hours . d . Grease traps will be located inside or outside of buildings ; each will vary in size or capacity , and the CONTRACTOR will determine the location and best schedule to render service . CONTRACTOR shall coordinate with the IFSM or designee to schedule the optimal time for servicing the trap , containment pit , and line routing . Service should be performed during normal working days , State holidays excluded . The CONTRACTOR shall make prior arrangements with and inform IFSM upon arrival so personnel can be present at the witness service . e . The CONTRACTOR is responsible for providing all means necessary to access and open all the trap covers as required to service all compartments of the traps . The CONTRACTOR shall exercise caution during servicing to prevent damage to the traps , their internal or external components , or any adjacent surfaces or items . Should damage occur , the CONTRACTOR is responsible for bearing the costs of repair to their former condition or to replace the damaged items .
