Description | TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION : Clearing and grubbing , including approximately 31 trees greater than three inches diameter breast height ( DBH ), removal of two berms , installation of a strategic wood addition on river right upstream of the slope failure utilizing trees removed from the site or brought to the site that measure 20 ” or greater DBH , cut into logs measuring 44 ” or longer , installation of a bar buddy utilizing a 30 ” DBH ash tree located along the riverbank to be removed with its root ball attached , reconnection of an existing overflow channel along river left adjacent to the slope failure and placement of seed and mulch . The bar buddy installation will place approximately 20 cubic yards of woody debris in the river ( fifteen of which will be below ordinary high water ) and require additional ballasting utilizing the nine cubic yards of substrate excavated to facilitated overflow channel reconnection . The project includes minimal channel regrading . |
