Services The Contractor shall provide the following Tissue / Histology processing services for forensic pathology office as requested by the Agency . • H & E Staining • Special Staining , including but not limited to : Acid - fast Bacillus ( AFB ), Colloidal Iron , Congo Red , Oil Red O ( frozen tissue ), Giemsa , Grocott - Gomori ’ s methenamine silver stain ( GMS ) for fungus , Gram , Luxol fast blue , Periodic acid - Schiff ( PAS ), PAS for fungus , Reticulin , Steiner , Toluidine Blue , Trichrome , Con Kossa , Warthin Starry , and Beta amyloid precursor protein • Immunohistochemistry • Courier and shipping service for tissue pickup and slide return to and form Medical Examiners ( ME ) office locations in Clackamas , Eugene , and Central Point Oregon . • Storage for at least two ( 2 ) years ’ worth of the paraffin blocks created for agency for ease of requesting re - cuts . • Work with 3rd party requestors for billing and shipping slide recuts , as needed . |
