The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – New England District is issuing a Presolicitation Notice for HVAC System Replacement, Buffumville Lake, Charlton, MA. QUESTIONS REGARDING THE PROCUREMENT WILL NOT BE ANSWERED DURING THE PRESOLICITATION PHASE. SUBMIT QUESTIONS TO THE CONTRACT SPECIALIST AFTER THE SOLICITATION AND ASSOCIATED DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN POSTED. THE WORK CONSISTS OF: The work of this project involves replacing aging HVAC systems and solving issues with thermal comfort. Both Fan coil units and condensing units shall be replaced with new heat pump systems, with ceiling hung electric unit heaters for auxiliary heat. New heat pump systems should be controlled via programmable thermostats. Air ventilation shall be provided to the building through a new energy recovery ventilator. All existing finned tube shall be cleaned. All existing and new heating hot water piping and domestic hot and cold-water piping shall be insulated. The existing radiant slab is not currently working, and the accessible components shall be removed with the existing under slab piping abandoned in place. This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 238220 with a Small Business Size Standard of $19 Million. ALL VENDORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. ANY VENDOR THAT DOES NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE SAM.GOV REGISTRATION WILL BE REJECTED AS NON RESPONSIVE.
