ICE DELIVERY AND STORAGE SERVICES

The City of Glendale , Arizona , is requesting bids from qualified vendors for the purchase and delivery of ice and ice supplies on an “ as needed ” basis . The resulting Agreement shall provide for all materials in this contract to include ice storage boxes . Unit pricing shall be firm , including the cost of freight and all other associated direct or indirect costs , excluding taxes . The City reserves the right to award multiple contracts as a result of this solicitation . The Contractor shall deliver blocked or cubed ice to various City of Glendale locations . The ice is used for various purposes , including the daily needs of City work crews , events at State Farm Stadium and Desert Diamond Arena , special events , and emergency operations . REQUIRED SPECIFICATIONS ; 3 . 1 . The ice must comply with all Federal , State , County , or local regulations for ice intended for human consumption ; 3 . 2 . All ice must be manufactured from demineralized water . Certification must be included with the bid submittal . 3 . 3 . Any ice rejected by the City must be promptly replaced or removed , and a credit must be issued ; 3 . 4 . Contractor must furnish and install refrigerated ice storage receptacles to all identified City locations within four ( 4 ) days after the contract has been executed . The receptacles must be supplied in approximately 40 , 60 , and 100 cubic foot storage capacities . 3 . 5 . The storage receptacles will remain the property of the Contractor and must be maintained and / or serviced by the Contractor ; 3 . 6 . Malfunctioning receptacles must be repaired or replaced within forty - eight ( 48 ) hours from the time of notification by the City ; 3 . 7 . Receptacles must have locking capabilities – The city will furnish its own locks ; 3 . 8 . Contractor must label each ice storage box installed with the City department name and a box identification or inventory number . This information must be listed on all invoices and delivery tickets . A listing shall be provided to Procurement at the execution of the agreement and shall be maintained as needed ; Blocked Ice ( 10 lb . Wrapped ); Cubed or Cocktail Ice ( 20 lb .
