Step 1 - Ventilation Verification Assessment Phase A uniform inspection and evaluation of the heating , ventilation , and air conditioning system within the school . It should be noted that support from additional vendors ( Control Vendor or Maintenance Vendor ) may be required to perform the assessment . To include : • Testing for maximum filtration efficiency . • Physical measurements of outside air delivery rate . Verification of the appropriate condition and operation of ventilation components . • Measurement of air distribution through all system inlets and outlets . • Verification of unit operation and that required maintenance have been performed in accordance with the most recent ASHRAE indoor ventilation standards . Step 2 - Reporting Phase The report must include any corrective actions necessary to be performed to the mechanical ventilation system or the heating , ventilation , and air conditioning infrastructure to achieve compliance with current ventilation standards . • A review of the data collected in the ventilation verification report and determination to what extent the systems are providing appropriate ventilation to the building . • Recommendation for installation of filters meeting the most optimal level of filtration . • Recommendation for the installation of carbon dioxide sensors ( if applicable ). • Recommendation for any additional maintenance or repairs required . • Recommendation for any additional upgrades or equipment replacement . Testing - Scope of work : IAQ testing • Test for maximum filtration efficiency • Measurement of outdoor air rates • Verification of condition and operation of ventilation components • Measurement of all air distribution systems . ( Certified Balancer ) • Verification of unit operation . • Verification of control sequences . • Verification of CO2 sensors . • Collection of data if no ventilation systems exist . Testing - Scope of work : IAQ testing Provide written report including air balancing reports ( signed by third party engineer ) and recommendation for repairs for non - compliant systems and complete the State of CT online 5 - Year Reporting Form . Firms shall provide photographic documentation of the areas reviewed and tested as part of the final report . 1 ) Provide a draft copy for review and comment by the ELPS Facilities Department prior to final submission . 2 ) Provide final report on two paper copies and electronically for the ability to upload and post online .
