Industrial Electrical Services

The County is requesting bids from qualified Industrial Electrical Contractors . The successful bidder will be responsible for general electrical repairs to industrial and light commercial pumps , motors , blowers , meters , programmable logic controllers , lighting , low voltage systems and electrical distribution systems . Working knowledge of 600V class three phase systems including grounded wye , wild - leg systems and single phase systems is required . Services / repairs will be requested on an “ as needed ” basis and may be required during the normal workday , evenings , nights , weekends and holidays . Response to service / repair requests must be made within one ( 1 ) hour of notification by County personnel .  The County does not guarantee an established number of hours for services / repairs .  The Contractor can bill one ( 1 ) hour maximum round trip travel time to routine & emergency work .  Billable hours begin upon arrival to the site .  Bidders must provide an hourly rate for Industrial Electrical Services . Bidders must submit percentage above cost for all parts and materials . The Bidder meeting all criteria and offering the lowest hourly labor rate shall be awarded the contract . In case of a tie bid , the County shall use the parts and materials markup as the deciding factor . The County reserves the right to purchase Parts & Materials as needed .  If the County is unable to provide the necessary or specialized equipment required to complete a project , the Contractor can provide and invoice the County per the 2019 NECA Rental Rates . Service location sites shall include , but are not limited to , all of Steuben County ’ s DPW Shops , Solid Waste Division and all of Steuben County Office Buildings .
