SERVICE / REPAIRS SPECIFICATIONS The County is requesting bids from qualified Industrial Mechanical Contractors . The successful bidder will be responsible for general mechanical repairs to industrial and light commercial pumps , valves , motors , blowers , meters , programmable logic controllers , HVAC , boiler replacements and any other general mechanical repairs that may arise . Services / repairs will be requested on an “ as needed ” basis and may be required during the normal workday , evenings , nights , weekends and holidays . The County does not guarantee an established number of hours for services / repairs . Bidders must provide an hourly rate for Industrial Mechanical Services . Award of Contract : The award of this contract shall be based upon an hourly labor rate charged to the County for Industrial Mechanical Services . The Contractor must submit the percentage above cost for all parts and materials . The Contractor meeting all criteria and offering the lowest hourly labor rate shall be awarded the contract . In case of a tie bid , the County shall use the parts and materials markup as the deciding factor . The successful bidder awarded a contract shall agree to complete all necessary repairs at any location in Steuben County . Service location sites shall include , but are not limited to , all of Steuben County ’ s Solid Waste Division , Steuben County Highway Shops and all of Steuben County Office Buildings . Normal Hours of Operations - Solid Waste - Monday through Friday , 7 : 30 a . m . to 3 : 30 p . m ., except holidays . Highway Shop Hours of Operations – Monday through Thursday , 6 : 00 a . m . to 4 : 30 p . m ., except holidays .
