This equipment is necessary to continue and expand bass research conducted in Lake Ozette on the Washington coast . These specific transmitters are compatible with the array being deployed by our collaborators with the Makah nation , Wild Salmon Center , and NOAA ( Ecology of Non - Native Fish ). The array that is being deployed will use Vemco 180 kHz receivers that are specifically compatible with the V9 – 2X transmitter tags . The long life and transmission flexibility of the tags make them ideal for use as synchronization tags to synchronize receiver clocks .
