Description

Description

Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract DLA Distribution intends to award to Cox Business to solicit only one source under the authority of FAR 12.102(a) for acquisitions valued at or below the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), document the decision that only one source is available and the basis for the decision. Contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available for Optical Internet Service for DLA Distribution San Diego, California. DLA Distribution San Diego has a requirement to setup a sole source contract with Cox Cable to support the F 35 PSP for building 365. This internet line will enable DLA Distribution to have better communication amongst the installation. Failure to use the Optical Internet service requirement will result in mission failure for communication between DLA and other Agency on the installation. Interested contractors may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Responses should be marked with reference “Optical Internet” in the subject line. A determination by the Government not to complete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 238210 with a small business size standard of 19M employees. PSC Code is N099. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. A solicitation will not be issued for this procurement action or posted to the single Government Point of Entry, the Sam for Award Management website. All responsible sources may respond by submitting qualifications/capabilities of the company by Friday, May 08, 2026 at 10:00 AM EST to Deborah Johnson, Email: Deborah.L.Johnson@dla.mil for consideration by the agency. If no affirmative responses are received, a purchase order will be awarded to Cox Business .
