Description | Please note : This is a Sole Source Notification . Forensic Science Division to award a DCS 6 fingerprint workstation . The determination of this sole source purchase is based on the following requirements : The need is for a comprehensive photography system that improves and expands current forensic latent print imaging capabilities . It will replace an aging system , and it should introduce new technologies ( e . g ., reflective UV , which is non - destructive ) and significant improvements in other technologies ( e . g ., IR - photography , digital enhancements ). The fingerprint workstation should be able to capture detail across a wide dynamic range of light and deliver low - noise , higher - quality images which will save time during comparisons and will result in being able to visualize and record more details of value for comparison purposes . |
