Description

Description

Under this Determination of Interest (DOI), the identified proposer will serve as a neutral facilitator, consultant, implementation support, and engage in the ongoing supportive and administrative duties as needed for the Interagency Placement Committee (IPC) and Short-Term Residential Treatment Programs (STRTP). The Interagency Placement Committee (IPC) is charged with making recommendations to staff and the Juvenile Court for children and youth requiring a high level of residential treatment and care. IPC also acts as a third party to resolve disagreements on 241.1 jurisdictional assessments conducted by Sacramento County Probation and Child Protective Services staff that recommend to the Juvenile Court which agency is more appropriate to serve the youth. In addition, all out-of-state placements must be approved by IPC. The Continuum of Care Reform Act, effective January 1, 2017, expands the role of the IPC to include the approval of all STRTP placements and re-placements. STRTP provides short-term, specialized, and intensive treatment to those children and youth whose needs cannot be safely met in a family setting.
