ITEM # 1 PULVERIZE EXISTING BIKE PATH : This item consists of all labor and materials to pulverize the existing asphalt bike path into the subgrade to create a base for the new path to be placed on . This is required for all options of this project ITEM # 2 PLACE 4 ” ASPHALT : The mix design SP4 in Section 1028 of the 2007 Edition of the Nebraska Department of Roads Standard Specifications for Highway Construction shall be the basis for SP4 Asphaltic Cement . The SP4 Asphaltic Cement shall be a ½ ” Grading Band with PG 64 - 22 ( unmodified ) Performance Graded Binder . Include QA / QC testing in the cost of the bid item . ( Contractor to Submit mix design ) ITEM # 3 SEEDING : This item shall consist of labor and material to install seeding per Section 801 of the Nebraska Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Highway Construction 2017 Edition . ALTERNATE 1 TO ITEM # 2 PLACE 4 ’ ASPHALT ITEM # 1 PLACE 6 ” CONCRETE : This item shall include all labor and material necessary for the paving . ALTERNATE 2 TO ITEM # 2 PLACE 4 ’ ASPHALT ITEMS # 1 PLACE 2 ” PERVIOUS RUBBER PAVEMENT : This item shall include all labor and material necessary for the placement of a pervious rubber pavement . Install in accordance with manufactures requirements . ITEM # 2 PLACE 4 ” CRUSHED ROCK : This item shall include labor and materials to lay graded aggregate material that is low in fines , angular in shape , and sized between 0 . 375 ” and 0 . 75 ”. Graded aggregate material of uniform quality throughout shall be substantially free of vegetable matter , shale , lumps and clay balls , etc . Base material cannot be of a round nature as this will not lock together when compacted and will not provide adequate support under the pervious rubber pavement installation .
