ITEM # 1 PLACE 6 ” CONCRETE : This item shall include all labor and material necessary for the paving . ITEM # 2 SUBGRADE PREPARATION : Sub - grade Preparation shall include all work necessary to shape the subgrade to conform to the typical cross sections . Sub - grade Preparation shall include an area 1 feet outside of the proposed edge of bike trail . Payment will be based on the measured area of the placed concrete pavement . ITEM # 3 EMBANKMENT : This item shall consist of labor and material to install the additional subgrade under the concrete trail . This needs to be like material in the area or an approved material by the engineer . ITEM # 4 EROSION MAT : This item shall consist of labor and material to install erosion mats along the project that follows the Nebraska Department of Transportation Standard Specification for Highway Construction 2017 Edition approved rolled erosion control products . ITEMS # 5 PLACE BRIDGE : This item shall include all labor and material necessary for the placement of a concrete bridge . The placement of the bridge is to include the bridge deck itself which is stored at the city cemetery , the railing , and the piers it is to be placed on . The railing well be 1 ” tubing place 4 ” off the bridge deck as a toe kick , 2 ’ and 2 ’ 9 ” off the deck as support , and 3 ’ 11 ” off the deck as a handrail , all measurements are to center of tubing . This railing is to run the entire length of the bridge on both sides plus an additional 4 ’ past the bridge onto the existing ground with the same configuration . The handrail will be attached to the bridge through bolt holes that are already drilled in the bridge deck . The handrailing is to be galvanizing and safe for outside public use . The piers are to be 2 ’ wide at the bottom and span the width of the bridge and they are to be 5 ’ 4 ” tall from the surface of the trail . The piers are to be reenforced with # 5 rebar on 8 ” centers . ITEM # 6 PLACE EXPANSION : This item is for labor and material to install expansion at the location shown in the plans or as directed by the Engineer . ITEM # 7 SEEDING : This item shall consist of labor and material to install seeding per Section 801 of the Nebraska Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Highway Construction 2017 Edition . ITEM # 8 PLACE 18 ” CULVERT : This item is for labor and material to install the 18 - inch 16 - gauge galvanized metal culvert located at station 5 + 82 . 9
