The Georgia Department of Transportation ( GDOT ), is soliciting bids from qualified firm ( s ) to provide Demolition of Improvements , Structures , or other Encumbrances in the Right Of Way and / or Easement Areas . Requirement No . 1 The scope of this contract is for the demolition and proper disposal of the trade fixtures and miscellaneous structures including : 1 . PARCEL 3 - MS - 1 ) Light standard , fixture , and concrete bases / footing ; 2 . PARCEL 20B - MS - 1 ) Business Sign – “ Aldi ” sign , double sided , approximately 8 FT x 10 FT , set between two 16 IN x 24 IN CMU / brick veneered columns ; and associated footings ; 3 . PARCEL 21 - MS - 1 , 2 ) Light standards , fixtures , and concrete bases / footings ; 4 . PARCEL 26T - MS - 1 ) Light standard , fixture , and concrete base / footing ; 5 . PARCEL 41 - MS - 1 ) Light standard , fixture , and concrete base / footing ; 6 . PARCEL 54 - MS - 1 ) Aluminum fence , posts , and associated footings , approximately 4 FT in height x 112 LF ; MS - 2 ) Chain - link fence , posts , and associated footings , approximately 6 FT in height x 140 LF ; and MS - 3 ) Light standard , fixture , and concrete base / footing ; 7 . PARCEL 73 - MS - 1 ) Business sign – Steel Frame wrapped with aluminum panels , approximately 10 FT x 30 FT , and associated footing ; MS - 2 ) 3 Light standards , fixtures , and concrete bases / foundations MS - 3 ) 2 IN diameter x 2 FT posts , with steel tension cable , and associated footings , approximately 40 ; 8 . PARCEL 74 - MS - 1 ) 2 IN diameter x 2 FT posts , with steel tension cable , and associated footings , approximately 40 ; 9 . PARCEL 78 - MS - 1 ) Business sign – Steel Frame wrapped with aluminum panels , approximately 9 FT x 26 FT , and associated footing ; and MS - 2 ) Four Light standards , fixtures , and concrete bases / foundations 10 . PARCEL 79 - MS - 1 ) Business sign – Steel frame wrapped with aluminum panels , approximately 12 FT x 36 FT , and associated footings MS - 2 ) 7 Light standards , fixtures , and concrete bases / foundations ; MS - 3 ) Concrete / stone ramp auto display , approximately 10 FT wide x 22 FT long ; MS - 4 ) 2 IN diameter x 2 FT posts , with steel tension cable , and associated footings , approximately 80 ; MS - 5 ) 2 Steel gates , support posts , and associated footings and associated bollards / footings ; MS - 6 ) Landscape boulders , approximately 25 . All improvements must be completely demolished and removed from their present site . All demolition debris must be removed and disposed of properly in an appropriate landfill or recycled in accordance with the provisions of the Georgia Comprehensive Solid Waste Management Act of 1990 and the Georgia Rules for Solid Waste Management Chapter 391 - 3 - 4 . The work will be completed in strict accordance with the DEMOLITION TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS , Office of Right of Way , Property Management , dated April 2018 . ( DEMOLITION TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS ). Requirement No . 2 Upon receipt of the Purchase Order , the demolition contractor shall submit 811 information for dig permit and utility locates immediately . GA EPD notification through GEOS portal is not required . Requirement No . 3 Assume for bidding that a licensed electrician will be required to disconnect electrical service to the signs and lights being demolished . Provide new circuits or re - route existing electrical circuits to remaining light standards . No electrical plans are available . Requirement No . 4 These acquisitions are partial takes . See Right of Way plans . Work shall be accomplished within the demolition easements and the required right of way . Requirement No . 5 All concrete foundations and slabs will be removed from the site and disposed of properly . Do not push demolition debris into the soil .
