The intent and purpose of this Invitation for Bids ( IFB ) is to invite qualified contractors to submit bids to provide Service and Repairs to the existing Johnson Metasys Building Control System at various Boston Police Facilities including , but not limited to , inspecting , replacing , repairs and maintenance services on an " as needed " basis , if at all . The contractor shall be proficient in all of the areas mentioned above . The City is seeking a standard hourly rate and an overtime hourly rate from an established contractor with a minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC Repair services as stated above . SCOPE OF WORK The City intends to award a contract for primary services to the lowest , responsive and responsible bidder . The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor , supervision , equipment , materials *, tools and supplies as may be required to provide Build Control System Service Repair and on an as needed basis in accordance with specifications and terms and conditions set forth herein . The contractor shall be responsible for carrying out projects under $ 10 , 000 . 00 . Individual projects which are estimated to cost more than $ 10 , 000 will be solicited separately from this contract . The contractor shall be responsible to assure that all materials used comply with all applicable laws , ordinances , rules , regulations and codes and are compatible with pre - existing materials and equipment . Work shall include Building Control repair and maintenance work , but not be limited to the following : a . Completely maintain , troubleshoot and repair the existing Johnson Metasys Building management Control System b . Repairs and / or replace existing network controllers Provide energy services to include consulting and audits . c . Repair and / or replace existing control wiring . d . Retrieve as necessary files from OWS to upload , download , modify and / or replace files as needed in controllers . e . Maintain archive database and upgrade and replace workstations as needed . f . Troubleshoot existing control systems to provide optimum performance of equipment
