Work of the project includes renovation of the existing 4 story , 22 , 690 square foot Robertson building , originally constructed in 1916 . The existing structure consists of brick masonry walls , wood floor structure with heavy timber and wood framing . The exterior scope of the project includes the addition of a covered metal stair , ADA accessible ramps , custom wood entrance canopy , new aluminum windows , aluminum and hollow metal doors , overhead coiling doors , and new EPDM roofing system . Additional exterior work will include , but not be limited to , brick repointing and re - setting and replacing stone sills . The interior renovations consist of selective demolition , extensive repair and replacement of structural columns , new code compliant stair and elevator , patching and refurbishing wood floors , new LVT flooring , wood and gypsum board partitions , casework , hollow metal frames with wood doors , and paint . Renovations also include new mechanical systems , new plumbing systems and fixtures , new electrical systems and lighting , and new fire protection systems to include fire alarm and sprinkler .
