The Killingly Brick Yard Project consists of : Demolition of pavements and curbing ; installing sediment controls ; limited parking area re - grading , concrete sidewalks and dumpster pad with fencing : precast concrete curbing : ADA compliant curb ramps ; stone dust surfacing ; traffic signage ; color patterned pavement coatings ; brick masonry ; site lighting ; electrical service ; underground conduits and sleeves ; fixed metal bollards ; granite block bollards ; flagstone walkway ; bike racks ; trash receptacle ; plantings ; and ancillary items as shown and described in the Contract Documents . F . Add Alternates No 1 : Install Art Park Plantings ; approved topsoil , amendments and mulch are included in the base bid . No 2 : Install floral MMA pavement markings No 3 : Install brick MMA pavement markings No 4 : Install gear MMA pavement markings Work Under Separate Contracts : G . 1 . 2 . Milling and Paving of Parking Lot a . The Killingly Brickyard Site Contractor will be responsible for coordinating with the milling and paving contractor 1 ) Milling and paving work includes milling of the parking lot to a 3 inch depth and repaving the entire parking lot with 3 inches of new asphalt . The Brickyard Site Contractor will be responsible for all work required to remove existing asphalt , modify the subbase materials as required , and binder course to within 3 inches of the proposed finish grades specified in the contract documents and within the project limits . Public Art Installations a . The Killingly Brickyard Site Contractor will be responsible for coordinating with the Public Art Contractor 1 ) The Public Art Contractor is responsible for design , engineering , fabrication and installation of 3 art pieces with varying responsibilities by the Brickyard Site Contractor . a ) Two pylons to be installed at the Main Street parking lot entry shall include design , engineering ( foundations & pylons ), fabrication and installation of the foundations and pylons by the Public Art Contractor , b ) excavation , site preparation , and power for / to the foundation will be performed by the Brickyard Site Contractor . The Public Art Contractor will be responsible for extending conduits through the foundation , providing lighting and making electrical terminations internal to the pylons . One sculpture to be installed at Killingly Brickyard Plaza shall include design , engineering ( foundations & sculpture ), fabrication and installation of the sculpture by the Public Art Contractor . Excavation , site preparation , installation of the brick veneered foundation & sculpture anchors , and power to the sculpture base will be performed by the Brickyard Site Contractor . The Public Art Contractor will be responsible for providing lighting , conduits above grade and making electrical terminations internal to the sculpture .
