Restoring electrical service to Kingston Point Lighthouse to its condition prior to Superstorm Sandy willrequire replacement of the electrical power distribution assets serving the lighthouse , includinginstallation of electrical cable / conduit , an elevated platform and support appurtenances ; removal of debriswithin lighthouse ; replacement of plinth of lighthouse ; and installation of interior , electrical , mechanicaland plumbing improvements at lighthouse , complete . This includes but not limited providing all labor , tools , demolition required to install all of equipment supplied and any and all other incidental demolitionand installation work as identified in the project drawings , including but not limited to clearing andpreparing the site for construction , access / logistics for installation , and coordination of improvements . The electrical power distribution panels , junction boxes , and conduit require upgrades to meet currentNEC , NFPA , and IETA / NETA codes and standards with respect to exterior enclosures and mountingheights . Kingston Point Lighthouse , also known as Rondout Lighthouse , completed in 1915 that marks theentrance to the Rondout Creek from the Hudson River . It is currently owned by the City of Kingston , operated by the Hudson River Maritime Museum , and is open for tours via boat . This is the last of threelighthouses built at the site , which was once a major port after the Delaware & Hudson Canal opened in1828 . The lighthouse is located at the end of a rip - rap jetty at the mouth of the Rondout Creek , east of the city ’ sRondout Business District at 53 Delaware Avenue , Kingston NY 12401 .
