Description | Work Required ; 1 ) Perform annual semi - annual inspections and cleaning of the kitchen hood . 2 ) Before cleaning begins , the Contractor shall cover all kitchen equipment in the work area with temporary covering . 3 ) Hood , filters , ducts , and other components shall be cleaned to remove contaminants according to manufacturer ' s instructions . 4 ) Flammable solvents or other flammable cleaning aids shall not be used . 5 ) Cleaning agents shall not be applied to fusible links or other detection devices . 6 ) When cleaning procedures are complete , all access panels , cover plates , electrical switches , and system components shall be restored to normal operation positions . 7 ) The kitchen shall be left clean ; debris and temporary protective coverage shall be removed from the work site . 8 ) When cleaning procedures are complete , the Contractor shall remove the previous label and install new label on the exterior of kitchen hood . |
