Description | The project consists of removing the existing built - up and shingle roofs and installing a 60 - mil Reinforced EPDM Adhered Roofing System and new shingle roof as outlined below : Apply the Fully Adhered EPDM Roofing System in conjunction with 2 layers of mechanically attached 2 . 6 ” PolyIso , 25 psi , after tear off of the existing roof system ( s ) to expose the decking for verification of suitable substrate as specified herein . The roofing system shall include tapered saddles as necessary to promote positive drainage , and 8 ’ square drain targets around each drain to promote additional water flow to the drains . Apply Ice and water shield over the entire roof surface and new 50yr shingles after tear off the existing with verification of suitable substrate as specified herein . Alt 1 to include for replacing all drain covers located on EPDM roof . Alt . 2 to include walkway pads at all units located on EPDM roof . |
