Description | The City of Holyoke is developing the La Placita Project , a community - centered public space intended to serve as a culturally representative gathering area in the downtown Main Street corridor . The project seeks to transform an underutilized municipal parking lot and adjacent street segment into a flexible public plaza that supports community gathering , cultural expression , and economic activity . An initial conceptual design has already been developed . The City is seeking a quailed engineering consultant to translate the concept into detailed engineering plans suitable for permitting and construction . |
