Provide engineering design associated with the installation of a 750 , 000 - gallon leachate storage tank at the County landfill . Task 1 – Preliminary Engineering and Engineer ’ s Opinion of Probable Construction Cost The Consultant shall perform preliminary engineering services to establish the basis of design and support project planning and budgeting . Services shall include , but not be limited to , the following : • Review of available background information provided by the County , including record drawings , reports , surveys , and geotechnical data ( if available ) • Identification and evaluation of applicable codes , standards , and regulatory requirements • Coordination with County staff to confirm project goals , operational requirements , materials of construction , coating systems , site constraints , and safety requirements • Development of preliminary design criteria , including : o Tank type , size , configuration , and materials o Structural and foundation concepts o Appurtenances such as piping connections , overflow , access hatches , ladders , and safety systems o Corrosion protection and coating systems
