Description | The Laundry Facility supports laundry operations for two VA facilities , eight ( 8 ) CBOCs , and the Little Rock Air Force Base . All major equipment in the plant , including the 8 - pocket tunnel washer , relies on pneumatic systems powered by compressed air . Each compressor is paired with a desiccant dryer to remove moisture from the air . With both dryers down , excess water is entering the air lines , leading to daily manual draining just to keep the rail system operational . The facility contains twenty - five ( 25 ) MAC valves ( valued at $ 1 , 500 each ); three ( 3 ) have already shown several more are showing signs of imminent failure . |
